You know a lot about the ins and outs of your chosen field; you probably stay current on the latest trends in your industry and the developments that will affect you. You network with other professionals, share tips and insight with the people working with and around you, and do your best to, well, do your best. But can you really achieve your best continuously without fine-tuning your skills and adding to your knowledge base?

Some industries require continuous education and training. Many do not. The danger is to become too complacent and fall back on an attitude of, “I’m too busy for that,” or “I learn more working out in the field than I can ever learn in some seminar or from a know-it-all ‘expert’ who makes their money running workshops instead of actually participating in real business.”
While it’s tempting to take the path of least resistance, the truth is, we all need to continuously evolve and learn new things. To create a successful business life and achieve our goals, we need to continue to learn and grow.
